DIY Wheel Light Installation
IMPORTANT!
If you encounter any issues with our wheel lights & they are not installed as stated below you WILL NOT receive any form of a warranty if issues arise. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure that they are installed solid to the vehicle.
We strongly recommend using the provided rivets that come with our kits for installing your wheel lights. Failure to use the provided hardware may void your warranty.
- Start by jacking up vehicle and removing the wheel. Size up the ring, be sure that your rings have plenty of room to clear your brakes and wheels. Using a 3/16 drill bit and TWO rivets to secure the ring to itself on the overlap.
- Once your ring is together move to installing the first bracket to your ring, each bracket should have a total of 2-3 rivet, one - two from the bracket to the ring & 1 from the bracket to your dust shield.
- Once your first bracket is attached figure out where the second and third brackets will fit on the dust shield.
- Once you have your fully assembled ring riveted to your dust shield begin attaching the strips, keep in mind these are LED strips & they ARE NOT indestructible, failure to secure the wheel lights to your vehicle is on YOU!
- Once you have applied your strip to the ring, add the provided zip ties, we recommend one zip-tie on each side of all brackets & one zip tie at the start and end of the strip, DO NOT make these very tight, they are an extra precaution, over tightening of zip ties can cause strip failure & will void your warranty.
- For wiring follow your brake lines & be sure the leave PLENTY of slack for steering & suspension travel as if the leads are pulled the solder points on the strip can break. If enough slack is not left and your strip breaks they will NOT be warrantied.
- If using our wireless controller install controller to your vehicles battery and then strips to the four outputs on the controller.
Rock Light Installation
- First we recommend planning out where you wish to install the rock lights.
- Next remove any fenders or other areas you plan to install on to have more space. Then using a drill bit, make holes for mounting hardware to be installed.
- Each rock light is wired with a positive (red) and negative (black) wire.
- These lights are not plug and play so wiring is your decision, ENSURE YOUR CONTROLLER/ SWITCH CAN HANDLE THE AMOUNT OF POWER YOU ARE RUNNING TO IT.
